Scamdemic 2026: Spot the Scam. Stop the Spread

The “Scamdemic 2026” presentation focuses on the increasing incidence of financial exploitation targeting older adults. Such exploitation occurs when older adults are deprived of their property through improper means and commonly includes fraud, theft, or deceptive behavior. Often, the perpetrator of this behavior is a family member, caregiver, or someone who has a trusted relationship with the older adults.
The presentation covers the different types of financial exploitation, scams, and fraud targeting older adults. Additionally, case studies and interviews with victims are included to provide further insight.
